It's autumn again! :D And that means walking in the woods, collecting leaves and chestnuts, halloween, and autumn break as well!
Well, we don't actually have autumn break in vet school, but I did manage to find a few days in which I can go on vacation :excited: So I'll be leaving for Germany tomorrow, and be away for about a week, in the place I love the most :D I've been studying so hard the last few weeks, I'm really glad to have a few days off. It will mean I can't be on DA until next week though, so it'll take a bit longer to answer messages and such :aww:

I hope all of you guys are having a wonderful day! :huggle: :rose:

Back from vacation :)

I came back from my vacation in Sweden and Norway a few days ago, and I’m still exhausted :XD: We have been driving all over Scandinavia it seems, and on the way back from Denmark it took us 13 hours to get home.. But driving a lot also has a lot of advantages :D We’ve seen a lot of amazing fjords and fells, and also lots of beautiful lakes and mountains. I’m sure going to miss the gorgeous nature of the north, but I’m also certain that I’ll go there again really soon :D
This year was actually the first time that we had 3+ days of rain in Scandinavia, but you know, I’ve always been more of a dancing-in-the-rain kind of girl (which I did only a few times.. I mean, I don’t tend to do that a lot in public :XD:) rather than someone who keeps wishing for sun.. so I just made the best of it. I’ve had so much fun that I didn’t really care for any bad weather. After all, rain’s just nothing more than a free shower, isn’t it? ;P So I didn’t really mind that. Although I did dump a glass of soda on myself twice, within 5 minutes actually.. which wasn’t that much fun :o I mean, I dump stuff on the floor and on other people all the time, but I don’t usually dump that much stuff on myself. But anyway, considering that that was my least fun part of the vacation, you can imagine it was a pretty great holiday :D

So having travelled as much as we have, I didn’t really have that much time to draw anything :sniff: Not that I didn’t want to, but after all those hours of driving, on most days there just wasn’t time to draw. I got the chance to finish one drawing, which is more than I expected.. So as it is, you can imagine I just can’t wait to draw more in the next few weeks :)

I have made a few photos, and I’ll make sure to upload the ones I like best really soon :aww: Also, I’ve got quite a pile of messages and deviations waiting, so I’ll try and answer all those as quickly as I can ;P Apart from that I have 300+ deviations waiting to be viewed, I guess I really am watching too many people :faint: I really don’t think I’ll manage to get all that finished in one day, so that’ll just take a bit more time :giggle:

I hope all of you guys are having a lovely holiday! :rose:

Summer vacation

Finally I’ve got a few weeks off!! :excited: Which means I’ll have time to draw again. It’s been so long since I had the time to do so, and now I’ve got a whole week until we’re going on vacation. Which means I can draw as much as I want :w00t: I’ve got a preliminary sketch waiting to be completed, so I can finally work on that :D
My last week of vet school was just crazy. Apparently having only a few weeks left is enough reason to give us a load of work to do :dead: I’m pretty much exhausted, but that isn’t stopping me from celebrating! :boogie:

As you’ve probably noticed, I’ve decided to just go ahead and upload the giant wolf drawing anyway.. I honestly wish I could bring myself to work on it more, I just hate myself for having this little patience, but I don’t think I’ll ever finish that drawing ^^; So I’m calling it finished, even though there isn’t much of a background, and there isn’t nearly as much detail in it as I wanted :sniff: I’ll try to do a better job next time I make a drawing this big ;) :giggle:

Well, just in case I don’t have time to write another journal entry around next week: I’ll be going on vacation for 4 whole weeks! :D We’ll leave on july 8th for Gothenburg (Sweden), where we’ll travel north, to the northern cape. From there we’ll go south in Norway to Olso, and take the boat back. I’m so excited to go to the northern cape again, we’ve been there only once before, and it was so amazing. Especially on the way there I’ve seen so many beautiful landscapes and towns :faint: This time we’ll be travelling from Ed to Orsa, Östersund, Arvidsjaur, Enontekiö, Honningsvåg, Alta, Krokelvdalen, Stokmarknes, Kabelvåg, Fauske, Namsos to Skeikampen and finally Oslo. Haha, I know this probably doesn’t sound the least bit familiar to you guys, but in short it means we’ll be travelling a lot

But before we’re going, I have this entire week off to do some cleaning, some cooking of difficult recipes which I never seem to have time for after class, and of course drawing :D I have a couple of things in my mind that I definitely want to draw and paint this week. I haven’t painted anything in a while, so that’s bound to be interesting :XD:

Well, that’s pretty much all for this journal ;) I hope you guys are having a wonderful day!

Back from Germany

I just got back from Germany this week, where I enjoyed a whole two weeks off :D I wasn't really sure if everything would turn out okay, cause I also bought tickets to the Elf Fantasy Fair that week, but I managed to go back to Holland for one day. So I still got to go to the fantasy fair, and I also got to spend a lot of time in Germany, in the place I love the most in the world :D Not without trouble though, cause the public transport in Germany wasn't really great the day I went back :faint: Which is why I ended up in a hotel in Münster by myself, because I missed the last train to Holland :o I had to take the first train to Holland to get there a bit on time.. But all of that didn't really matter cause it was totally worth it :D

I also finally read Twilight last week, and finished it in one day, which never happened before ^^; Besides being addictive I still keep thinking about thay story, it just kind of stayed in my head even after I finished the book, it's completely ridiculous  I never read a story that kept me this captivated before, apart from the Bitterbynde trilogy by Cecilia Dart-Thornton. I'm wishing I had the money to buy the other three books in the series as well.. But as it is, I'm going away for the weekend in two weeks, with some friends of mine, and I just know that's going to be expensive (besides lots of fun of course :XD:)

Anyway, I haven't had a lot of time to draw anything these past few weeks. My huge wolf drawing is pretty much finished, but I'm thinking I might still want to add a background to it  So unfortunately that will take a bit longer.. I will finish it soon though, don't worry ;)

Hope all of you guys are having a wonderful day
